1. Introduction
2003.04
The Irvine campus of the University of California has an annual festival named "Wayzgoose", typically in the month of April.
The festival has had a pleasant, informal atmosphere in past years, much like a large family picnic.
There are many booths for student and community organizations.
There is an antique car show and contest, judged by the UCI and Irvine police departments. (Would it be too cynical of me to wonder if the police secretly check the license plates and driving records of the participants? LOL!)
Many animals, reptiles, and insects are on display at various booths.
There are puppet shows, pony rides, live bands on stages, a rock climbing wall, student club BBQs, face-painting booths, fraternity and sorority booths with humorous ways to raise money (like karaoke), and a booth for KUCI (a radio station at UCI), and other attractions.
